One Foot In Front Of The Other

July 14, 2024  •  2 Comments

The path I must take will be six treatment days of chemo 21 days apart. That takes me into October if you do the math. Friday, June 12 was my first day. I was to receive two different drugs. My body could not tolerate the first drug. The second went smoother. My oncologist explained it this way. I did get the full dose of the Batman drug. I got a small amount of the Robin drug. Thankfully, I will not receive that Robin drug again, but next time they will try Robin's sister drug. So far, I am doing ok, waiting to see what happens next. There are some days I understand will be more difficult. We see what happens.  Monday will be four weeks since my surgery and that healing is going well. Getting stronger each day. Thank you for your continued support. As I was getting my treatment, I tried to focus on and remember all of you praying for me and I could feel your prayers. You should have seen how many angels there were in that place. We were surrounded. My healers were awesome. My path is set, and I place one foot in front of the other.

I’m sorry to hear that you didn’t get along well with the Robin Drug. I assume you have another treatment coming up soon. I hope Robin’s sister is nicer to you. Good luck. Prayers are still with you.

Joe took a couple days off to come to Whitlock. We went fishing and had pretty good luck. It was a little windy, we made due. I got my limit for the first time in a couple years. The fish were all nice sizes - three were nearly 18 inches. We have already eaten them. Thanks for the cucumbers and cabbage. I don’t have a garden and the community garden at Whitlock has had deer raiders. They seem to like cucumber blossoms. The cucumbers were really good. I have plans for Cole slaw soon.

Linn and I went to the Black Hills to ride the Mickelson Trail. The weather was great and The Hills were beautiful. We rode about 45 miles-from Hill city to Rochford and Pringle. We also visited with Linn’s family in Sturgis.

Good luck with your next treatment and remember that our prayers are with you. Continue to be strong.

Still sending up our prayers and healing vibes! Good to know that Batman and robin are quite different and both cannot always be your friend at the same time. Starting something is always the hardest and you’ve got both the surgery and the chemo starting behind you! Way to go!!! We just love you, Lunette! So keep that twinkle in your eye.
